Delaware College Scholars

2025 - Present

DCS provides a free, residential college prep and persistence program for under-resourced public-school students, guiding them from high school through college success over seven years.

Delaware College Scholars (DCS) is a multi-summer college access and success program that prepares motivated, first-generation students from under-resourced backgrounds to thrive in college and beyond. Through a rigorous residential experience that mirrors the academic and social complexities of college life, year-round advising, and deep school-district partnerships, DCS equips scholars with the hard and soft skills to identify their best academic, social, and financial fit—and to thrive once they get there.

Arbor Rising is partnering with the DCS management team on a number of deliverables, including:

  • Theory of Change — refining the organization’s model to clarify target population, program components, and long-term student outcomes

  • Financial modeling — building a multi-year budgeting tool to enable scenario planning and guide sustainable growth
