Fair Chance Futures
2026 - Present
Fair Chance Futures opens doors to the AI economy for adults from low-income, high-incarceration communities, preparing job seekers and helping employers rethink hiring.
Founded in 2020, Fair Chance Futures runs free, full-time AI career programs inside leading universities, starting with Columbia in New York and USC in Los Angeles. Fellows deliver projects for real employers, earn a university-issued credential, and build relationships with coaches and mentors who open doors, followed by two years of coaching after they’re hired. Fair Chance Futures also trains companies to recruit, hire, and retain talent from the communities it serves.
Arbor Rising is partnering with the Fair Chance Futures management team on a number of key deliverables, including:
Theory of change — clarifying the population served, scope of intervention, progress milestones and target long-term outcomes
