Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison provides college education, life skills and re-entry support to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated men and women.

Hudson Link and its college partners have awarded over 500 degrees to students in six correctional facilities. Hudson Link’s astonishingly low recidivism rate of less than 4% – compared to over 67% nationwide – is proof that the transformative power of education is far more cost effective than prison.

Arbor Rising partnered with the Hudson Link management team on a number of key deliverables, including: 

  • Theory of Change — clarifying the population served, scope of intervention, progress milestones and target long-term outcomes

  • Data Analysis — statistical evaluation of historical outcomes to refine programming and inform marketing efforts

  • Growth Planning — scenario construction and analysis around program expansion / extension

  • Performance Management System — establishing roles, goals, and accountability targets for staff
