The Knowledge House

The Knowledge House is building a diverse pipeline of tech talent from low-income communities.

Headquartered in the Bronx, The Knowledge House is launching the next generation of digital leaders by delivering a cutting-edge curriculum, establishing common standards and linking students to employers. They offer an Exploring Technology program for high school students, a flagship Intro to Tech program for novice tech learners, and Advanced Web Development and Data Programming with Python courses for students seeking entry-level employment in the tech ecosystem.

Arbor Rising is partnering with the Knowledge House management team on a number of key deliverables, including: 

  • Theory of Change — clarifying the population served, scope of intervention, progress milestones and target long-term outcomes

  • Outcomes Dashboard — identifying, carefully defining, and setting targets for key outcomes and leading indicators

  • Financial Model — to monitor fundraising progress, create multiyear budget projections, and track key programmatic outcomes

  • Performance Management System – establishing roles, goals, and accountability targets for staff

  • Management Training – customized people management training for staff, and individual coaching for leadership, to foster a culture of supportive accountability
